About Jill Thomas
I have worked in several modalities in diverse locations. I began working with children, adolescents, and their parents through a community-based program. After that, I worked as a mental health professional in Indiana State Prison, a maximum-security prison for adult men for nearly three years, then went on to working in an inpatient behavioral mental health unit for adults in crisis for two years, and spent the last 5 years working as an outpatient therapist for adolescents- through adults at Samaritan Counseling Center where I continue to provide services. I have also recently taken a as needed position with R3 Continuum who partners with employee assistance programs (EAP) and contact me to provide crisis counseling when needed in my area. I feel that mental health counseling is a calling and I feel fulfilled by following it.
